I don't believe it would be a smart move to change The Academy of Irving ISD name, the reason for this is because this will cost money, money that could be used for something more useful and important. I know the reason for changing the name of the school is to honor the retired worker, who in this state had done so much for us, but I believe that the names for the school should be left aside for national figures. I strongly believe that changing the name will change the view that other schools have towards us, I think it wouldn't help the crowd point of view towards The Academy of Irving ISD. Besides all of this I believe that changing the Academy name will just be a waste of time, and money, it's important for us to understand that money at this time is considerably important to know how to spend correctly. I know he is an important person to this state, and he represents much of what we should look up to, but I don't think changing the name of a school is necessary to show how proud we are of him, we should hear his point of view, and I would be sure that he would be honored that his name would be in a school, but I also believe that he knows that this will take time and money, something we don't really have much of in this busy life.

Sincerly,

An Academy Student's point of view
