5 Places You Would Like To See Before You Leave This Earth

**Take the ultimate trip in your mind**

During our lifetimes there are many places we will see and love to go back to. There are others that we just never seem to be able to get to that hold interest or a special feeling when we think of them. Give us 5 destinations that, in your mind and heart, are a MUST SEE & EXPERIENCE before you die.

Machu Pichu - Peru

Rio de Janeiro- Brazil (hopefully in 2014 during the world cup)

St. Petersburg- Russia

Amsterdam - Holland

Space (because that would just be fucking cool)

"I've been so many places in my life and time...I've sung a lot of songs, I've made some bad rhymes." Leon Russell

I've been very lucky in my lifetime as far as traveling is concerned but there are still several places I'd love to experience before I pass from this earth. This is my list of 5 and why I wish to go to each.

1. Vienna, Austria: This place has always held a special place in my heart for the city and surrounding countryside is gorgeous. I always hear a Strauss Waltz when I think of it and can picture myself in a great ballroom dancing the nights away to "The Emperor's Waltz." The Lippizaner Stallions are trained there and if you want to watch horses dancing in unison, it's an amazing sight. The entire look and feel of this great European City with it's elegant Cafés, Restaurants and open markets add so much to the desire to be there.

2. Ireland: Actually any of the Aran Isles would be fascinating to me. The cliffs overlooking the sea must be breathtaking and the stark nature of the isles a purist's delight. To sit in the local pub of any of the isles in the evening would be enchanting. To listen to the stories of the people and their fishing boats would want to make me sign on just for the experience of fishing in such rugged and rough waters. The terrain dotted with small houses with thatched roofs must be something to see when the cold season comes.

3. Tahiti: Give me the most quiet spot on one of the islands of Tahiti and I will be in seventh heaven, so to speak. To live how they live, eat what they eat and listen to stories handed down from generation to generation would suit me to a tee. The waters surrounding the islands of Tahiti cover the spectrum of blue shadings and the sand is as soft as silk. I could lie there for weeks on end with not a telephone in sight and be as happy as a lark as I walk the beaches and collect my shells. I'd dive for oysters right along with them too with nothing but a knife to loosen my treasures from their entrapments.

4. Tokyo, Japan: The hustle and bustle of this city is probably enough to make the strongest among us weak in the knees after a day of sightseeing but I'd love to try it. I've only seen pictures of Tokyo at night and the lights will knock you out! I would love to visit a Geisha compound and watch their training regimen from youth to the very top. The thought is very intriguing, indeed. I'd love to discover the role of geisha in today's world and how it differs, if any, from years gone by.

I would also love to watch Kabuki at its finest in Japan. I imagine it to be more of an art than becoming a Geisha might be AND THE TWO ROCKS THAT ARE MARRIED....WAY COOL!

5. I would love to see what outer space looks like and what we look like from there. Puny little planets with untold potential. Perhaps I can be Queen of the Hottentooters somewhere....There's a place for us...some where! Thank you Barbra.
