America: ruined and corporate rules or land of the free and home of the brave?
In this debate I challenge people who say America is a beautiful place. I have a few arguments. 1. Monsanto is an evil corporation that controls our food supply and makes all of our food GMO. 2. The true story of Edward Bernays. 3. Numerous government conspiracies. I mean legit ones like water gate, lying about our education system and saying we were once on top while we've always been in the top few but never on top, etc.
The opposite argument/ side believes we haven't been taken over in the 70s or 80s by corporations and that WWII is not our last good deed before corporate take over.

I agree that the government, currently, is quite corrupt and very concerned with money and control, however we are not Authoritarian or Totalitarian where people have little to no freedom. Which is more than I can say for the majority of the world, especially in Latin America and Africa. Side: Corporate ruled
