Can God defeat this paradox?

Paradox: Can God make a rock that is so heavy he couldn't lift it?

If it's the Christian trinity version of god then he can make the rock so heavy that his Jesus persona can't lift it, but his father persona can. So, he can lift it and can't lift it at the same time. Who knew schizophrenia could be so useful :)

However, the verse most Christians use to justify the trinity concept (1 John 5:7) is not in the original manuscripts.

Side: Yes

Yeah that sounds about right. What about God before he actually made Jesus? Like lets say God in the book of genesis.

Well, if he was able to split into different people, like he did with Jesus, then he could do it any time he wants, including in the days of Genesis. So, the schizophrenic logic still works, but to be honest I think the whole trinity idea is nonsensical and was just created to try to get around some of the contradictions in the Bible.

Technically.

The answer is he could and upon doing so would no longer be all powerful. Having not made such a rock, he is still all powerful.

The fact that he could make a rock which he cannot lift, shows that he is not all powerful. It is irrelevant whether or not he actually made the rock or not.

is refers to current existence, is all-powerful.

It does not refer to non-existence. So it is a way out of the paradox.

The fact that he could make a rock which he cannot lift, shows that he is not all powerful.

He is able to make the rock. He is still able to lift all existing rocks. He passes all tests for "all-powerful within the paradox.

There is a long and boring proof showing why whether one can say something could exist is not a supportable proof when referring to actual existence, but I don't want to go through it.

Mostly because there is not a god and there are plenty of far better proofs against "all-powerful" than this flawed paradox.

My favorite theists argument about this subject God can make the rock growing but he could lift it if it kept growing.

In any real or hypothetical universe, an unstoppable force and an immovable object cannot coexist. As the definition of God, including Jesus, implies an infinitely powerful force, even God could not create a rock unable to be lift. If you cannot grasp my concept, then picture that even God could not find the edge of Earth, as edges do not exist.
