Yes it does because the children learn to read and write in the future. You also need math in the future because certain jobs require math. Some jobs you need to know reading and writing skills in the future

Yes, it does. Because schools will teach children knowledges and they will use the knowledges to do their work. Who graduated in the high degrees they will get good jobs. And also schools teach how to live in the social.

Prepare? Working for a corporation is not very hard, but since you need an education (since corporations tend to require it, depending on the position) i would say that it's necessary, but not realistic.

But this is corporate America, so education, something that is supposed to be for interests, has become a need instead of a want. Blame it on Corporate Socialists.
