Is the market going to crash

Is the market going to crash

Could this be the handwriting on the wall? Is the market going to crash and we're only fighting over who gets to keep the money?

Read below and think about WHO is Commander and Chief. Why this? Why NOW? Read on...

Army Unit to Deploy in October for Domestic Operations

Beginning in October, the Army plans to station an active unit inside the United States for the first time to serve as an on-call federal response in times of emergency. The 3rd Infantry Division's 1st Brigade Combat Team has spent thirty-five of the last sixty months in Iraq, but now the unit is training for domestic operations. The unit will soon be under the day-to-day control of US Army North, the Army service component of Northern Command. The Army Times reports this new mission marks the first time an active unit has been given a dedicated assignment to Northern Command. The paper says the Army unit may be called upon to help with civil unrest and crowd control. The soldiers are learning to use so-called nonlethal weapons designed to subdue unruly or dangerous individuals and crowds.

Here's the original article:

Quote:

"They may be called upon to help with civil unrest and crowd control or to deal with potentially horrific scenarios such as massive poisoning and chaos in response to a chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear or high-yield explosive, or CBRNE, attack."

That is a bit creepy, but I don't think it's a big deal. Sounds like a logical response to the sorts of threats we face in this age of modern technology. It is a good idea to keep an eye on this sort of thing though...

I seriously doubt this is preparation for some kind of blood in the streets scenario.

Side: Not a big deal

Great article, I'm glad you posted the URL so we could read it in its entirety. I say it's high time the military forces learned this stuff and are, or will be, ready to employ what they've learned if and when the time comes. Instead of only prowling around at airports with rifles at the ready this is a good step. Better late than never for its part in Homeland Security.

Is the market going to crash? Probably not but we will before the first chooch hits the pavement!!

Side: Should be mandatory training

Well, just because I'm paranoid does not mean they're not after me.

Don't bail out Wall Street. We have endured hard times before and we can weather this storm. My Mother grew up in Ohio on a farm during the "Great Depression". I am against the bail out. Let it happen. The old money of this country will have to find a job. We the People will only gain a liability that will garnish our productivity for generations. Let it happen. It will be hard. We will survive. I am a taxpaying common American who doesn't want to pay for the high society who shuns our very existence. Let the wall street bomb shock the world. Wake the masses up. Now is the time for us to build a future for all Americans. The "Old Money" culture of America now has to face the prospect of finding a job. It must be tough. To face the world that the majority of Americans must face every day. Don't bail out Wall Street. Please.

Side: No Bail Out to Wall Street

OK, remember when I said I wasn't for either side? Well, this just goes to show how distrustful I've become over the years of both parties.

Maybe I'm paranoid. Let go get my meds and re-evaluate this post later.

Please feel free to throw mine in too...mine are stronger!
