In an election year, anything and everything has the potential to be used for political gain, and this is no exception. President Obama is trying to use past foreign policy and make a withdrawal from the politics bank.

To some extent, I have to agree. I think it's a mission that should not be politicized, giving an assassination order should never be something to be celebrated, but simply accepted that it was necessary, and that it helped.

However, I feel that everything I've read either Obama, Romney, or any of the other nominees talking about has been politicized. Gay marriage, the 2nd amendment, the economy, everything. Unfortunately politics works best when everyone stops trying to put the other down, and focuses on representing its people best, and trying to help them.

Such is a world of politics where everyone has to fight for themselves.

Yes, but really, do we expect anything else?

2 things to consider:

1. It makes no sense to keep silent about it. He was lucky enough to be president when the CIA and operatives finally located Bin Laden, and he's gonna point out that he gave the order to take him out. Hell, if I were running I'd do the same thing.

2. What I wouldn't do is act like Romney would have done any different. No human being would have done anything different. Hell, even Ron Paul would have given the order (given he hadn't pulled everyone out, but still, operatives are not the same as troops). This idea that Obama actually did anything besides give a stamp of approval is the real problem, but once again it's politics... can you expect anything different from a well-crafted politician?

Obviously...I mean he launched a add trying to make it into a campaign issue...

When doesn't president use anything for political gain, the President and Congress are wasteful idiots with profuse elitism oozing all over America.
