Should prisoners be allowed to pay a bail?

Well what do you think?

I think they shouldn't be able to because it means that if your really rich you can do whatever and get away with it because you pay to get out of prison.

I don't think they should but what do you think?

Judges are able to deny the right to bail. If you never been to jail or prison you shouldnt even be allowed to post. First off lets say u have a warrant for unpaid traffic violation unbeknownst to you. you get pulled over and sent to jail, you have one 30 second phone call that you get courtesy of the goverment, in that 30 seconds you have to convey to the person that you were arrested and need to pay bail so you do no have to start to do push ups so ur fellow inmates wont see you as an easy target to steal your food. (ciggerates aren't currency food is) if you fail to do so u have to hope someone is willing to fork over 15-25 dollars so that they talk to you through a jail phone. If you cant convince someone that your good for it, your other option is bondsman ,idk if its like this in every state but its true in michigan, your not allowed to directly talk to when there in jail. so surpise surprise you have to call up someone again and ask them to call said bondsman so he can then make an appt with you to see if your good for it which will probably be after 3-14 days depending on his schedule, by then your probably been beat a few times and had ur lunch stolen. (sounds alot like highschool... but no chicks) Trust me you want to be bailed out depending on the amount of crime your area sees u may not see a judge for as long as month which may actually be longer then the time your looking at. Plus when someone else pays your bail you have to pay 12 dollars for the booking fee, which if you came with a wallet they just take out.

With all that in mind, but if they did the crime then surely that's what the criminal gets if he is weak then why would he commit a crime to be thrown in jail with a bunch tough guys who are very likely to beat him up.

It's the system. If you have the money to pay the bail, a prisoner gets set free.

I agree with you because. The rich could do whatever they wanted. If they continue to go to jail the price should go up. Eventually they would run out of money I think.
