Should the President have the power to disconnect the internet in times of war?
Lieberman said the Internet was “constantly being probed by other countries for weaknesses and that “we need the capacity for the president to say to an Internet service provider, ‘We’ve got to disconnect the American Internet from all traffic coming in from this country.’”
He cited China, which has long been criticized for its Internet censorship, as an example. “Right now, China can disconnect parts of its Internet in times of war. We need to be able to do that too.”

The government seems to ALWAYS want to find ways to become more powerful. But I know why government hates the Internet. The internet is what freedom fighters (currently in America) want... but IRL. The government, especially the Executive Branch, hates the Internet. It represents an untaxed, unregulated market and uncensored information. It even teaches you all the ways to get high legally. It's basically the Libertarian Party's wet dream. Side: NO, Way to much power
