It is very sad however most of the time we don't have a choice. If we don't remove those who have committed horrible acts in the community or on a wider scale, the public will be in an outcry of anger that such a person is being looked after in a prison with taxpayers money. Also to earn the death penalty you have to do some pretty bad stuff. Beyond that of rape and the average murder. It serves as a deterrent to those who are willing to or thinking of committing a major crime.

Besides the death penalty is a lot more peacefully acted out then it has been in history. Back the they would be shot, hung, burnt, crushed, stoned or decapitated. Nowadays they're put to sleep and drift of without any pain.

Some people have done despicable things. It is better to remove them. I think the death penalty should be a last resort... For people that have killed many or sexually assaulted people in brutal ways...

My only misgivings are about the person that administers the death penalty. That person that has to give the injection, tie the noose. Regardless of how bad that person was, they still have that blood on their hands.
