Will Newton's Laws be seen as ancient text when they become 2000 years old?

Atheists often refer to the Bible as just some ancient text therefore irrelevant and so I pose the question; What happens to the foundation of science when it meets the same fate?

Mostly because you can test Newton's Laws. Really, I haven't seen any atheists dismiss the bible on the basis of it being old.

That atheist does not speak for the community. Also it is only noted that the book is old, because around that time, science was not a common thing.

Another problem with the bible, that science will not have to worry about is, that science constantly updates it's information when anything new is learned, the same can't be said for the Bible. Sure, in 2000 years, our understanding of gravity may change, but gravity will sill exist, we may just explain how it works differently. For instance, you may be familiar with the way of explaining gravity by putting a ball on a stretched cloth, then rolling another ball into the divot made, causing an orbit of sorts. That method was dismissed when new information was discovered. It was traded for this method, and in the future if that method is discovered to be flawed, then more information is discovered, the method will be altered.

Some of Newton's laws would be gone if they found exceptions. Then again, is there an exception to this statement:

2+2=4?

I think not. That statement is well over 200 years old. In fact it's over 3000. There you have it.

Science is built on standing on the shoulders of what has already been proven in the past. Many theories have developed from the theory of gravity that also serve to give more evidence for it being correct. What has happened to the Bible over 2000 years? It has been edited. Parts have been overwritten, books have gone missing etc.

First, atheists dont say the bible is an ancient text; they say that there is no god due to a lack of evidence.

Second, the bible isnt a law unlike newtons law. A law never changes.

Exactly, and the Bible has probably changed 50 trillion times.

And these are the type of facts I love about this place; accurate and unbiased.

The year is 3600 and something, gravity has ceased to exist because Newton's laws have become ancient text. At least one cannot measure obesity in teams of pounds anymore.

Gravity simply ceases to exist? I'm not so sure that will be the case. I'm quite positive that gravity will still exist and we may just know more about it. We may update Newton's Laws or maybe his laws will remain the same. How do you know that gravity itself will merely cease to exist?

If in 2000 years none of Newton's laws are seen to happen they should be thrown away. The Bible is an old book that can't be verified.
