Civil rule can look ineffectual, but it is actually a triumph of civilisation to have an army reporting to an elected civilian assembly.
Military governments look efficient, but they usually conceal terrible inefficiency and corruption behind the uniforms and medal

I am not saying a military regime is amazing but everything with its demerits would most definitely have merits, true, one is trained to rule and the military men are trained to defend a country's borders, but so far so good in Nigeria, it must be observed that the rulers of the civilian regime aren't exactly trained to rule themselves, most of them are spill overs from the military regime, take for example, General Olusegun Obasanjo, and some are touts corrupt individuals and power drunk people but we have to admit that despite the strict laws in a military regime, Nigeria became quite developed, not all military rulers are bad and they shouldn't all be,likened to General Sanni Abacha. The still existing old good roads and bridges were constructed in the military regime and in that regime there was law and order. Probably what Nigeria needs is a military ruler worth his salt, not one who believes in violence and tots his gun about to scare people but one who is aware of what his country needs and is ready to provide that.
