Homes for the elderly are very wanted and very needed. For many families, it breaks their hearts to see an elderly family member struggle to do basic things around the house. And the worry and concern is unbelievable. I know in my family, my Grandpa fell and almost bled out on the floor just by trying to get out of his chair. It's nice to know that there are assisted living facilities that I can send my grandparents to live in where they will be safe and taken care of when I can't be there. Not only will they just be safe, but there are plenty of people around and if they are able, activities are set up so they can still have fun and enjoy each others company without the worry and stress of being alone and what could happen if they were injured.

Side: wanted

Some people depend on these types of homes because they have no family who wants to take care of them.

Old age homes began existing only because when the old people are ignored by the young people.

When the old aged people are thrown away by their children, then they can take shelter only in oldagehomes.

When the parents who have no children become old then oldagehomes are their only shelter.

So I am going with old age homes are wanted.

Yes, old age homes are needed because many a times, the children go to work in different cities or foreign countries and the old people are unwilling to leave their hometown. if old age homes are there, it would be easy for the aged people and they can live a comfortable life. they also get company and can enjoy their lives.

Side: wanted

For some homeless, low income earners and those wanted to save, they value such ind of housing. They just only need minor renovation and repair for the to become comfortable when living.

My mother passed away in September @ 99. She was legally blind but otherwise healthy. She spent the last three years in an assisted living home ... where she met her last boyfriend. They were inseparable. These places, though expensive, are needed, and assure total care 24/7 which most people could not do in their own homes and have any life of their own. It sounds nice to say people should care for their parents (or whatever), but many times that ends up in family problems (or worse, divorce). We don't "owe our parents" that! Elderly care is a strain, and unless you are a nurse you could make a costly mistake. Better you leave them to professionals.

trend is actively changing, days by days, time by time. of course all of us will follow new trends. trends of fashion, style, food, and one of it is trend of house.. new house design will make us trying to have a house like that, why? because human is a social beings which want to try something new, there is a big curious lies inside humans. so, easily we can conclude that old ages homes are unwanted, it will be destroyed and the land is used to build new design home. so, the wanted thing in here is not the house, but the land so it can be used to build new house again.

I think old age homes are unwanted bcoz................

If people start taking care of their old parents, which they ought to, then no resources would be wasted in making old age homes. moreover, it's not right to throw your parents out of your home, who gave you a home.?.?....

Well we're not talking about the 'moral' things here. The fact is that there should be old age homes (I will never send my parents to old age homes but I'm talking about the ones who do) .What will the parents who get abandoned do? Should they live in the streets???
