I think the fact is that they earn too much money for what they do, especially considering how little talent most of them have in either industry and it has become so plastic and manufactured now that it's all just boring. what's sad is that modern society has produced such an apathetic brain dead generation who are more interested in following celebrity gossip than focusing on deeper issues troubling the world and how they can make a contribution or change things in some positive way. Having said that what is good about most celebrities today is that they often do use their fame and wealth to try and make some contribution to charities or raise an awareness about global issues which are important to them - which is, I guess, more than most of us can say.
