Sonic is better, all Mario's effective abilities require power ups. So what can Mario do? Stomp on things and break them, Sonic could easily doge it, Sonic wINS!!!!

Sonic is amazing, he is art come to life on a screen that goes fast. Mario is okay, his games are fun but Sonic can go fast. Besides Mario needs shrrooms and power ups to do things. Who cares if he was here first, Sonic is amazing and would win a fight between them. Overall, Sonic has better characters, and a better story. Nintendo is like the McDonald's of video games.
