The government should be able to monitor us, but secretly is just impractical. It's like waiting for something bad to happen and then do something about it. Wouldn't it be better to just let the suspects know that they're being watched? Chances are they're not even going to attempt it because they won't be able to carry it out succesfully. Giving suspicious people such as terrorists any chance of having drug-resistant anthrax or something of the sort, is just stupid.

It's better to have a lousy father for practical reasons. You can blame every mistake you've made on your father. He won't pry into your business and search your room and take your stuff because he doesnt think I need it. He wouldnt care so much that he would get pissed and throw my backpack with my computer in it at a wall putting a hole in it because I didn't clean the sink after breakfast or I forgot my keys. I think it's actually an opinion because that kind of father is still lousy because he'll tell you that he hates you and I ruined his life.

You say its a sin so obviously you believe in God and respect the commandments given to moses on mount sinai. But you contradict yourself by breaking the holy matrimony you experienced with your life so technically thats a sin. You sin either way so it really comes down to if you love your wife.

Would you be okay with it if she was going to kill you?

I wouldn't turn my wife in because I love her and married her for a reason. I would trust my wife that she killed someone for a good reason, relatively because murder is still murder. Gene hackman killed the guy her wife was cheating with.

Advancing the common good will ideally create a utopian society first characterized by karl marx. Personal puruit will create poverty and greed. Chances are people will kill each other which has been shown throughout history, the ceasars.

I agree Shakespeare is a literary genius but his works can be easily misunderstood. To expect a typical high school student to know about archetypes that play into the 1600's is asking too much. I'm not saying none will understand it, but his works will be a lot easier to grasp at a college level.

It really depends on the type of freedom he is talkng about, personal or universal. I believe in personal freedom and no matter what happens to you, you have the freedom to react in whatever way you want, or is possible.

Obama should be our next president. If Obama was a socialist he would be agreeing the the socialist party. I have heard the president of the party speak and he wants to leave everything to the government, basically the government owns means of production. He also said that it is incorrect to call Obama a socialist because he is not wanting what the socialist party wants. Obamas plan to raise taxes to the upper class is good because the upper class is can afford it, it would basically be pocket change and wouldn't affect them. Do this to the middle and lower class what happens? THE RICH GET RICHER AND THE POOR GET POORER. Does this ring a bell?

Blake, I think you're wrong. Teachers telling us to do something a certain way will help us learn something in a way we don't normally learn things.

Schools do diminish our creativity by telling to do something a certain and giving us low grades if we don't dumb ourselves down. Discovering new ways to do something is like nitrous oxide for brain development. The way some teachers conform us by focusing on just doing a task and not allowing the student to ask why we do it. Also, on projects we are told to write it or make it a special way, not letting us use the part of the brain that we get to use so little because of the school system.

Having surveillance is going to do more good than harm. There is going to be teachers in the halls anyway that can watch you and it's not like they have a guy sitting in a room staring at a t.v. all day, looking through different cameras waiting for us to mess up. The point of video cameras is for our safety. It's not taking away any rights or freedoms that we should have. It will help limit kids in the school shooting eachother in the hallways or a knife to the neck, but nothing's full-proof.

i think tha 30 minutes to leave is riduculous because it does not give people enough time to get picked up if you cant drive. plans make change or people my get delayed from traffic or family issues.
