He is a man-child. Soon enough he'll just be a man. If you consider the amount of scrutiny and limelight he has received the past 8-10 years, I'd say he's handled it very well.

Whiny? Maybe. Punk? Not at all. Whiny punk? I think every player in the NBA except Tim Duncan, Steve Nash, and KG are generally whiny punks.

At least LeBron keeps playing. He might complain and scowl, but he's still in the game. Carmelo Anthony is a whiny punk. When he disagrees with a call, he breaks down and stops playing. While the other nine guys are on the otherside of the court, he just stands there under the other basket and yells at refs or expresses his disgust by moping around. That's a whiny punk...whiny bitch if you ask me.

LeBron is a goon on the court. Of course he can play physical. Keep in mind he has a big bulls-eye target on his back. He gets attacked in the media by no name players, all the while they are guys trying to make a name for themselves by shutting him down. On top of that, the NBA is a dirty game that we don't always see, even since HD. Players pinch and poke, hook elbows, grab jerseys, try to get away with hitting other players in the nuts...all the frustration adds up. LeBron just gets into the game at the moment. I've never seen him cry or complain in a post-game conference or have a really terrible attitude, at least not yet.

You're an idiot Niko. I won't disagree whether or not Mac's are a fad in general, but they are definately a Marketing fad. If the iPod one of the "Best Designed" mp3 players out there, how come they have redesigned it 14 times in less than 7 years? (and it will be 16 by 7 year mark) One thing I will give the iPod is that it is the most popular. Doesn't mean it's the best, just has the best marketing. I bet there aren't many iPods still in use that are older than a 4th generation. Go ahead and give them your money, they will just ask for it again in 4 months and make you feel bad for having an older version of a product that THEY sold to you.

Anyone remember the Mac Mini? What happened to that? Why is the G4 Mac pretty much obsolete now? I'd be real pissed right now if I dropped $3000 on one of those 4 years ago instead of building a $1200 machine with a P4 3.0 Ghz. That machine still runs like a beast for me.

Ever try to get Apple support after 1 year from the purchase of their product? You might as well buy something from them new. As much as I'll complain about a Microsoft product, by biggest complaint at this point is that soon they will be no longer offering support for XP which had it's first release 2 days after the first iPod.

If Mac is so high and mighty, why would you want to even consider running Windows on a Mac? Just because it can? Windows is not Open Source, it is Windows that allows it's product to have the ability to run on another platform. If OSX is so great, why not let it run on a PC? Answer: Marketing for their branded hardware.

Just like the windows formatted iPod having the compatibility for use of both the PC and Mac, where as a Apple formatted iPod only works on a Mac. Apple is the one that should produce compatibilty for their products.

So basically (and I'm putting it simply), Macs strive (and survive) on the technologies created by other systems. In other words, if not for the PC, today's Mac would not even compete, let alone exist.

MS is not perfect and I'd be the first to bitch about them. But they keep myself and about 90% of the IT field employed. Seems like Apple just sits back and says, "You create it, and we'll make it look like we fixed your mess...and make lots of money off of it."

They need to give a piece of their profits back to the PC industry, if not for actually creating and implementing ideas and new technologies, at least for the costs of testing.

Mac will NEVER beat PC because Mac is a product of Apple.

Apple is a Marketing company that pushes technological products. They do nothing to contribute to the industry that is innovative or creative. (Other than creative Marketing and creative form factor design)

It amazes me that they are still able to survive in the Technology Industry at all, let alone actually turning profits. It's all due to their marketing schemes and building on already established technological ideas.

iPod and iTunes saved them financially, but they didn't invent the file sharing concept and storing mass music on a hard drive (let alone a portable music player). They merely stepped into play and became a middle man between the music industry and consumer. They did not invent the cell phone, and mobile web browsing and cell phones have been around for years before they got into that market.

They have contributed nothing except building on existing ideas and trends. Sure you can make an argument that they improve these technologies, but you can't justify their price points and constant upgrades/updates on their own products.

Mac would only surpass PC if advancements on personal computing leveled off...and if that happened, they would not be on top for very long because someone else would come up with a new ORIGINAL idea.

As much as I get frustrated with MS and third party products, they have kept the business world moving and have employed many many people and have ensured jobs for the foreseeable future. Apple just offers employment at the Apple store.

I tested the LG Voyager and it sucked. It is not a smartphone. It does not allow for third party apps. I found the iPhone to be very similar in terms of capability. The iPhone is pretty, and that's about it. Nothing smart about it.

I've been using my Blackberry for work to open PDFs, office files, print with bluetooth and true connection to our exchange through BES more than 2 years already...bluetooth printing maybe only for about a year and a half.

I understand they may have reinvented sexy, but I don't know why people act like they reinvented sexual attraction alltogether.

What exactly is the technological breakthrough are you referring to? YouTube on a phone? Cool man. Maybe if YouTube could stream quality video you might have something substantial.

The only breakthrough made from this device is how to properly market a product created from previously existing technologies.

1 point

What is so technologically advanced about the iPhone that you are not able to find in another phone? User friendly is subjective to the user. All pieces of technology have a learning curve of some sort.

Sophisticated? Distinguished, maybe. Sophisticated? Based on the rate of change for technology the past 5 years, this product has no sophistication at all. If I were a teeny bopper or hipster wanna be, this would be the coolest of cools. But in relation to Real World applications and business work environments, this doesn't offer anything a Blackberry 5810 from 2002 would do, except YouTube, music and a camera, which is not productive in the work environment anyway...When I think about it, it still can't do some things a 5810 could do.

It will be as big as the container that it currently resides in.

See, the thing about Apple is that they take other ideas and technologies, then market them very very well. They are not a computer/tech company whatsoever, they are a marketing company that sells technology. There is no innovation to what they 'create' other than form factor (and even that gets upgraded by themselves every 4 months or so, read: Marketing).

I'll admit they make somewhat quality products that 'appear' innovative, but the price mark ups are ridiculous. More power to them for getting people to purchase them though. How they are able to market the sales of their own products that they make obsolete in a short period of time is genius.

The iPhone is pretty huge right now. It will get a little bit bigger as that industry continues to expand. But when the need for something new arises, or the next wave of technology occurs, Apple will once again take the back seat, let someone else do the driving and pay for the gas, get to the destination, then drive the car 2 more feet and say, 'We went the furthest'.

So far they have not shed any light to the moblie communication industry at all, only a sexy convenience. Blackberry has been pushing out emails to mobile devices since 97.

In terms of marketing and making money, it is not a flop. In terms of actual contribution and creativity, they have done nothing.

If his career ended today and you based it on numbers, no. If you were to judge him on skill, impact on the game, and numbers in relation to the span of his career thus far, ABSOLUTELY.

The calibur at which pros play in relation to the typical amatuer is amazing. Tiger is a pro among pros. He may not win every time (he is always a favorite), but he puts the heat on the other players and his presence is always felt. In fact Sergio just won in a playoff against a no name journey man and the first thing he did was thanks Tiger for not playing.

If amateur golfers are at walking speed, then pros drive on a highway, and Tiger is on a jet plane with no one else in the sky. If he is not considered the best ever today, it's just a technicality of time...and he has 25 more years of playing left at least.

Greatest ROCK band of all time. Embodiment of Rock 'n Roll Music

Phish. One of the more underated, and at the same time overated bands ever. All in all, underappreciated. Performers of epic compositions in a rock band form, otherwise with the ability to write and perform any genre of music. Who else covers the Beatles White album for halloween? Not to be judged by their albums, but rather their careers as human musicians, touring, interacting with the fans...evolving. Truely the essence of Progressive Rock, or Progressive Music rather.

Not at all. Just make it illiegal to sell to minors, and restrict minors from puchase and use...how is this any more harmful than a cigarette?

Feel free to discuss mind altering affects, but NOTHING in the world has a more negative affect on the mind than nicotine...trust me, I use both. I never waited for a guy to finish a joint so I could swoop in a finish the last few drags.

If it were purely genetic, there would be no such thing as bisexuality.
