Al Gore on global warming
"There are many who still do not believe that global warming is a problem at all. And it's no wonder: because they are the targets of a massive and well-organized campaign of disinformation lavishly funded by polluters who are determined to prevent any action to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions that cause global warming out of a fear that their profits might be affected if they had to stop dumping so much pollution in the atmosphere." - Al Gore

The use of Al Gore as means to reject global warming i think is disingenuous. Contrary to popular opinion the veracity of human induced climate change does not hinge on Al gore. He was not the first to notice global warming, he was not the first to talk about it, he is not even a scientist. However many real scientists do in fact believe in global warming. In 2007 the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change released a report concluding that human activity does contribute to global warming. Although the earth does indeed go through natural cycles, the RATE at which the earth is warming up is the central issue and is the reason why there is such certainty regarding human influence. It is many times faster than any natural climate change event in history. Side: Global warming is a problem
The researchers found that average hurricane numbers jumped sharply during the 20th century, from 3.5 per year in the first 30 years to 8.4 in the earliest years of the 21st century. Over that time, Atlantic Ocean surface temperatures increased .65 degrees, which experts call a significant increase. Side: Global warming is a problem

Despite what he may have claimed, Al Gore did not invent the Internet. The Internet was invented in the United States during the late 1950s to the 1970s by a group of researchers and scientists at the newly formed Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPA) after the former Soviet Union launched Sputnik. Even if Al Gore did invent the internet, there's no easy fix to this problem. if we wanted a quicker fix, we'd have to create massive amounts ozone on a molecular level and try getting it in the giant gaps in ozone layer. the cheaper, simpler way to do this is to just conserve energy.
