Juveniles are being treated unfairly in the juvenile detention centres. Is it unfair to put young people from as young as 7 in a juvenile detention. It is too young of an age to be put in such a violent. Different states have different ages. NSW, SA, WA, VIC, QLD AND NT define a juvenile as a person who is at least 10 years of age, but is under the age of 18. Australian Capital Territory defines a juvenile at 8 – 18. Tasmania has the widest definition of a juvenile – between 7 and 17, encompassing 10 years of a youngster’s life. Between 7 and 17 a child learns a lot about their life and it’s a vital stage of life to live. Side: Juveniles punished to young
