Does game addiction really affect our life?

yes it does

no it doesn't

If you're truly addicted, then yes, it can conceivably cost you your job, your family, etc. But most gamers are just big fans, not true addicts, so it's not a problem for them.

Side: yes it does

I agree with your statement but I would also say that games do have an immediate impact on an individual, impacts that could be harmful.

Can you elaborate on this? What is the immediate impact that's potentially harmful?

Side: yes it does

It won't affect the life of someone who is not involved in it. Involved in this case being, personally affected or close to someone inflicted.

A person suffering game addiction may not be able to focus on the important things in their life like, eating, bathing, bathroom breaks. Here's a link to someone who actually died from it..

As for the people who are close to the affected, they suffer because their livelihood may depend on that person.

My brother got sucked into "game world" when he was in his early teens and is now 25, lives at home with mom (who won't push him out) and never leaves his room. Although it is a severe case, yes it happens and I'm sure he's not the only one going through this.
