How Were People Convinced By The Fantasy Which Is The Official 9/11 Story?

The official 9/11 story is like a piece of Swiss cheese. It is full of holes large enough to drive cargo through. What I want to know is how anybody on Earth was stupid enough to fall for such an obviously false account of the facts, and how indeed it turned out to be the case that questioning that account is the more likely reaction to earn you the label of stupid.

It baffles me to this very day that the crushing wave of realisation which swept across the planet was somehow halted in its tracks by obstinate right wing American morons who sniggered at every piece of evidence thrust at them. 

Somehow it was politicised into a battle between left and right when in actual fact getting the truth should have had nothing to do with politics. Alas however, since prominent figures on the American right were the ones involved in the first place, they weren't about to let the left prove it and turn American politics on its head.

I listen to celebrities who are even older than me rubbish the idea that there was a conspiracy and it just literally makes me cringe. How stupid can people be? It's almost surreal listening to them talk about how it "looked like a controlled demolition" without them ever considering the most likely explanation for why it looked like a controlled demolition. And then in the very next sentence the exact same people will lecture you about Occam's Razor while they adopt a condescending tone.

American politics has become so spectacularly stupid in the years following 9/11 that many people have been subconsciously convinced objective reality doesn't even exist. Everything is a matter of opinion now, which of course by sheer coincidence happens to serve the same guys trying to delay action on climate change and economic poverty.

The world has gone to hell. Maybe it was always that way. Either way, in general people are just idiots.

The same way they get convinced that "Donald Trump is the chosen one." I've come to realize that conservatives and the NRA MUST be correct. There is a YUGE amount of mental illness in this country …. mostly in conservatives and the NRA. They'll believe ANYTHING. ;-)

I think you are right Alfie, and the 9/11 farce is what caused me to realise it. That's why it didn't really come as a shock when in 2015/2016 right wingers began claiming Trump was going to save the country and end corruption.

I wonder why they would have a controlled demolition that could easily be discovered (i.e. explosive material in the debris)? Why wasn't it enough just to organise that the plane hits?

But it wasn't easily discovered and that can be proved by the reality that whoever did it got away with it. Furthermore, many people are afraid to say they believe it was a controlled demolition for fear of ridicule by their own peers. Hence, your argument is self-contradictory and fallacious. You might as well say you believe Santa Claus is real because otherwise why would anybody claim he was real if that lie can be so easily discovered?

Indeed, you have reminded me of the infamous Emperor With No Clothes fable. Why would the emperor ride out with no clothes on if he could be so easily discovered? Therefore it didn't happen? False logic 101.

Why wasn't it enough for Hitler to stop once he'd invaded Poland and Czechoslovakia? Therefore Hitler didn't really invade France? Is that seriously your angle?

Also, as a further note, before making the claim that controlled demolition would have been easily discovered, you should bear in mind that nobody working for the government authorities tested for explosives residue. Given that most people agree it "looked like" a controlled demolition, why would the government not rule out that hypothesis before moving on to other potential explanations?

The fact that there were no tests for explosives residue and it fell to an independent scientist who lives on a different continent to finally run those tests is a GIGANTIC red flag.
