How to keep 'newbies' from leaving us.

Add New Argument

I find that we are often very rude when writing to the newbies. I'd imagine that we scare them away.

Maybe they shouldn't take it personal. That is the problem. I don't.

Side: Not Personal

But they don't know that. We've been here for a while, we have become accustomed to such attitudes.

Side: Not Personal

It is a debate site, not a knitting class. Personal attacks are part of the game. Maybe when we throw insults at them we can attach, LOL.

This shan't be much of a debating site if everybody leaves.

Also, you have no business writing about 'personal attacks'. Neither the title nor the overview gave any reference to such a topic. The question was, how can we keep them from leaving us. If you wished to post a comment regarding personal attacks, maybe you ought to have either disputed or supported the dialogue between me and my ally, PrayerFails.

Is this an insult? I shall have you know that I have no mental problems, excepting the possibility of psychopathy. And what do you mean by 'decide which case to state'?

Change the site so we know before clicking on a debate who authored it.

There are too many people tossing out a topic for debate and then presenting no or a very poor argument in support of it. I'd like to know in advance which debates would be good to avoid.

Failing that, get people here who can actually debate and not just spout off opinions.

That's my opinion :)
