What makes you think he had a thing for men? You need to elaborate on this because he never did. You might as well say the same thing to Mark, Luke and John because they all have that verse in the scriptures.
I am not a broken person. I choose not to look at those kinds of things because its considered a sin and I would commit adultery if I lusted after a women I saw that was naked or having sex.
Out of interest do you watch violent movies and tv? I dont just mean Horror movies or adult orientated violent movies but stuff that is aimed at youngsters and families
I don't want watch that much TV to be honest the only things I tend to watch is news, weather, and one of my favorite Christian pastors early in the morning before I go to church. Occasionally sometimes I watch my favorite basketball team.
The last movie I believe I saw was Wreck It Ralph.
I am not going to lust after women because I am not allowed to date yet so there is no need for me to lust and I suppose to not commit adultery even it applies to teenager is they have no girlfriend or single it still applies so I would be sinning if I did lust after a women.
Depends on the relationship and what the couple considers cheating, which is different for everyone. I personally say no. I use porn, so my partner will always be able to. And I'd rather he enjoy fantasies like that than go experience them without me.
Like Saurbaby said it all depends on the relationship, a lot of people watch Porn together but i've had Girlfriends that cover all the attitudes had one who was so insecure that when I went to a stag night and my mate had hired strippers she wouldn't talk to me for a week to Girls who have wanted to come out with me and my mates when we have a lads night which quite often involves strip clubs. I dont think it's a big deal and think that it's sad that Violence is perfectly acceptable but Porn is vilified.
There's something wrong with our society when they can show brutal, realistic, graphic, detailed scenes of torture or death or violence in movies and on TV and yet they have to cover up, censor, and otherwise filter sexual content in the extreme. I've seen movies with people getting their faces blown off, bodies ripped apart by machinery, or dissected by serial killers, and in those same films naked girls have to walk around draped in a sheet because god forbid be might see frontal nudity. Maybe if we spent time making detailed sex scenes and filtering violence we'd have a culture with more love and less hate. If not, I'd still rather see a nice rack on a nice girl over some dude getting his face chopped open.
I remember hearing somewhere that due to violence in movies and on tv that a child has seen something like 10000 murders before they are 12 years old and that is deemed ok but if they saw some boobs that weren't their mums would be the end of the world, just shows the sick society that we live in. Even I can see that and I enjoy Horror and Violent movies.
What about the violent films that its ok for kids to watch? Do you think its OK for kids to watch violence but not see someone naked? Is murder less likely to deprave an innocent mind than Pornography?
I am an anarchist and would let my kids see both so really I don't give two fucks about it.
From society's perspective, a rowdy child who is easily overpowered by adults if they tried to fight is far less an issue than one who is taking their male or female friends into an enclosed space and playing out what they saw in a porno (especially at the ages of 13 where even boys have begun to hit puberty a bit and girls are pretty well into it).
In those R and pg-13 movies you see people getting shot in the face, gruesomely tortured, beaten to a pulp, and otherwise all sorts of excessive violence. In those same movies a chick who just got some needs to walk around with the sheet covering her tits because got forbid we might see a pair of tits... in the R movies some nudity is okay so long as it's only brief shots of peoples butts and maybe some breasts, it depends.
You assert that children wouldn't be able to act out the violence they see because adults will overpower them... well aside from the fact that that applies equally well to sexual situations, there are frequently times where there are no adults present to stop the children. In that instance I would much rather have my kid reenacting a sex scene as opposed to reenacting a scene where someone gets tortured or gets their face blown off. Even the very worst case scenario (my kid got STDs and a girl pregnant) is wayyyyy better than my kid killing or being killed by another child.
Love and violence are both natural, but love should be encouraged and violence should be discouraged. If we can agree to that I see no reason why we can't agree kids should be able to see the natural, healthy act of sexual intercourse in movies and shows and should not be seeing thousands of gristly murders by the time they're a teen.
"Love[meaning mindless brutal sex] and violence are both natural, but love[meaning mindless brutal sex] should be encouraged and violence should be discouraged."
In your opinion, but the opposite is the opinion of the majority.
Also please show me a pg -13 movie with violence to being beaten to a pulp.
I cant think of any movies that have "mindless brutal sex" with the exception of a few movies that depict rapes, which is not at all the same thing. Could you list a few scenes in a few titles to give me a better idea of the mindless brutal sex you're talking about? Almost every sex scene I can think of is more along the lines of lovemaking than brutal fucking.
To answer your request, off tops the batman movies, the Indiana Jones movies (raiders of the lost ark - the one with gunshot wounds, swords, fistfights, and that guy graphically getting the flesh and blood melted off him by gods wrath -was PG) War of the worlds, and the LOTR series. In none of those will you see so much as a nip-slip but you will see decapitations, torture, fistfights, murder, people getting the blood sucked out of them by nightmareish aliens... I think you get the idea.
LOL... Maybe it's because I'm a martial arts movie geek but when someone says to me that Indiana Jones and Batman are violent I just have to really laugh to Hollywood's attempt at violence xD... It's pathetic and far too little brutality to be realistic.
As for the movies I am referring to (all are R and X rated)
I shall list some:
"Rape Me"
"AntiChrist"
"120 Days of Sodom"
"Ken Park"
"I Spit On Your Grave" (the original one, not the 2010 remake, which actually was purely made for younger viewers to legitimately see the horrors of rape and the brutal beauty of karma, as you can tell I completely support the things the woman did in her rampage of revenge, but then you already know that I prefer violence to porn)
Hahahaha because martial arts movies are so realistic, right?
Don't get me wrong, Hollywood is fake to the core, but that doesn't just apply to them. And similarily it doesn't just apply to Hollywood violence; Hollywood sex is nothing like real sex.
NC-17 movies are kind of irrelivent to include in this discussion as those are the ones that allow everything. And kids can't watch them.
And I asked for examples of mindless brutal sex, specifically stating that rape does not count. A depiction of rape is supposed to be horrific and brutal because that's what rape is. But that's not sex. That's rape. A depiction of rape is akin to a torture scene, not a sex scene.
I gotta wonder, though... I say "love" and you immediately think of "many, many" movies you are familiar with that include rape... kinda worrisome, bro.
Another word for sex is lovemaking. A lot of porn is shot along those lines. Not a lot of porn is shot like a rape. If they had more revealing scenes of people having sex in movies and shows, 99% of the time that would be two people having sex i.e. making love. There is a connection between sex and love. Not so much between love and rape.
And this is what I mean. If you don't know how rape and sex are different, you have issues, and you are a danger to women around you. Please seek help.
