After the holocaust Israel was initially founded as a safe haven for Jews who were persecuted and/or butchered in their host countries. When this sanctuary was threatened by the Hamas terrorists they had to react with a massive response. The sanctimonious virtue signallers were nowhere to be seen or heard when 6 million, SIX MILLION Jews were being slaughtered in Germany's death camps. Side: Hamas attacked Israel.

I don't see how the holocaust relates to the Hamas attacks. In fact, considering their past, it's should be even more sensical for the Israeli goverment to neither senselessly kill palestinian civilians nor opress them. The Hamas attacking Israel simply doesn't warrant their killing of civillians, be it collateral or intentionally. Side: Over reaction by Israel.

Protection of their own citizens do not require attacks on palestinian civilians, no matter the situation. Instead of mass bombing areas, potentially killing hundreds of innocent civilians in pursuit of the terrorists, they should be thinking of other solutions. Side: Over reaction by Israel.
