My life is hardly easy, and FULL of disappointments...merely because I still struggle with worldly views on a lot of things. I believe God gave us an instruction manual for this world. The bible is God's inspired word to us. It warns not to get caught up in "the world" It will burn us every time. We just have to stay strong and fight the good fight of Faith with the map God has provided us. There is a lot of encouragement inside this collection of books/letters. IE: Paul's letters are quite simple. Simplistic seems to be key. God's wisdom is far superior to anything here on Earth. NLT - 1 Cor. Ch 1 v. 18-31: 18 The message of the cross in foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God. 19 As the Scriptures say, "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and discard the intelligence of the intelligent." 20 So where does this leave the philosophers, the scholars, and the world's brilliant debaters? firstly I'm not ignorant considering my entire family as well as all my friends (i go to a catholic school) are christian. I speak from observation. Obviously not all christians feel weak and unaccomplished or whatever, I'm simply trying to make these two points 1. the religion was originally made up partly because people couldn't accept they would simply die. 2. and secondly some people don't convert because they are too weak to accept we are alone. I don't blame them its a sad truth. Can an atheist say something different than flying sphagetti? perhaps but i like that culinary motherfucker so in this case, no i can't. I know there is no relation to gods existence I'm saying people mostly believe in god when times are tough and when they feel weak. example *the overpriveleged teenager has little reason to believe in god while the 60 year old condemned to die alone in jail reads the bible every waking hour he's not working out or getting raped.
