You know it's going to happen eventually. If someone carried a gene that would put them at increased risk for cancer, you'd fix that, right? And if they had another gene that would give them osteoporosis, you'd fix that too. Why not? Eventually, they'd be completely customized. Why leave anything to chance, when they can be perfect? If we can improve on ourselves, cure diseases, and etc, then yes I believe in our evolutionary path of utilizing the evolution of culture, politics, science, and philosophy taking over biological evolution. We should be wary of consequences of certain genetic engineerings though. Side: The future is now
