THE RIGHT TO PRIVACY IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN FREEDOM OF THE PRESS

The right to privacy can be more important. Think of a celebrity who just wants a normal day and they have press following them around all day just to ask them stupid questions that everyone allready knows the answer to. And in the example of someone who was, lets say a victim of domestic violence or something similar to that, the probably don't want to talk to anyone from the press and yet they will swarm around them and ask questions if they get the chance, just to get the story that will make headlines. While we do need freedom of the press, people also need some privacy, and privacy can often be more important

Wrong. The right to privacy is not more important than freedom of the press.

They are interdependent and too closely interrelated to distinguish one as being more important than the other.
