I've been an xbox 360 owner for 4 years, and a ps3 owner for about 1 year. Honestly ps3 is soooooo much better. I only wish I wouldve bought it instead. Why it's better: games, so the library isn't as big as 360, big deal. I see more awesome titles for ps3 than 360. (ps3: killzone, uncharted, god of war, infamous, heavy rain, resistance, modnation)(360: gaylo, gears of war, mass effect, Alan wake). Online play is free. It's way better than silver membership for 360. Plus the plastation home feature is awesome. And I don't care much for the whole Microsoft points thing, I'd rather know exactly how much I'm paying for something. The biggest thing for me is the reliability. My ps3 is the slim model and I've had no issues to speak of yet. (I know it's early but let me finish.) My xbox 360 was the pro package, it lasted about 6 or 7 months before the famous red ring of death. It took Microsoft about 3 months to send it back to me, only to get a back a year later due to graphic issues. A month later they send me a refurbished model. 2 years later red ring. The last 360 I had went pretty strong up until about 3 months ago when it started making this god awful indescribable noise. So I sold it and pre ordered the 360 slim model. I've had the new model a little over a month now and I recently had a graphic issue again. (so much for fixing everything microsoft) I won't put full blame on the system yet because this didn't happen until I bought hdmi cables for it. However, the 360 has been more troble than what it's worth. After owning modern warfare 2 on both systems I can say I like it better on 360 because of the controller. And due to the xboxs fanbase there's more people (but that also means there's way more douchebags). And to top everything, the ps3 offers so much more. Internet browsing, blu Ray player, and on earlier models, backwards compatibility. Xbox "says" it's backwards compatible, but I've been able to play like two of my xbox orginals. As far as DVD players go, the playstations I find is so much better. The 360 seems to have more trouble reading the slightly scratched discs, while ps3 plays damn near all of them flawlessly. If I had one complaint for the ps3, it's the download times, they are horribly slow. Another thing, the new motion controllers that Microsoft and Sony are unleashing (while I don't really care for either one, because that market rightfully belongs to nintendo) the move is so much more appealing than the kinect. Move will be compatible with great ps3 coming titles such as killzone 3, socom 4, and gt5. While having a great looking library of it's own. (sorcery and the game with ratchet, clank, sly, and other playstation heroes looks awesome, sorry can't remeber the title). While kinect, with the price tag of 150 dollars, doesn't look all that amazing anymore. It's a great idea, and I love the concept behind it. However, a mediocre library of games and from what I understand no 360 title compatibility, what a waste. Honestly the kinect will be for hardcore 360 fanboys and people who look and the 360 controller and start scrathin their heads. Sony has been impressing me more and more, while Microsoft seems to be pushing me away. Sony has cleaned up a lot, and appeals to ALL gamers while still staying true to the more hardcore gamers. Microsoft seems to be all about the kinect and the market that the Wii has already dominated. So in conclusion, the ps3 is dominating the 360 all around. I only wish more people could see it that way instead of assuming the bigger library of games means the better system
