I think changing the school's name is absolutely ridiculous. I am currently a junior here at The Academy of Irving ISD. I've been here for 3 years and I definitely want to walk the stage to receive my diploma with The Academy of Irving's name written on it. I DO NOT WANT TO HAVE SINGLEYS NAME ON IT! This school has been well recognized since its grand opening. I proudly state that I am a student from The Academy of Irving.
Mr. Singley is an outstanding man & should be recognized in all sorts of different matter, however changing OUR school's name is not one of them. Every one will still call it The Academy of Irving. We have been use to calling it that name & it will remain that way until all the students here graduate & the new freshmans arrive.
