Who told you wolverine was invincible? The only character in the x-men that is invincible is apocalypse. Sue Storm aka invisible girl from the fantastic 4 could have killed wolverine in his own comic. She brought him to his knees without breaking a sweat. She only speared his life because Marvel wouldn't allow her to kill him. It's not that he escaped her clutches or counter attacked her. He was at her mercy but she was not allowed by the writers to kill him. So yes wolverine can die. Hulk on the over hand has proven to be the longest surviving hero in a comic written by Marvel which showed everyone else dying, including wolverine, from a nuclear holocaust in the future. Wolverine skeleton is adamantium but he still has organs beneath and eyes that can be removed. He is not a lizard. If his body parts are removed they will not grow back. His healing power means his wounds will heal, gashes will close, skin tissue will repair but he could not grow back another head if the Hulk was to tear it off. He would just die, but obviously Marvel would not allow this other than in special addition what if comics like the comic where Hulk broke superman's back. In conclusion Hulk vs silver surfer, difficult to call. Hulk vs Wolverine, no contest.

As for wolverine jumping around on top of the Hulk, well let's just say that strategy hasn't worked out for Wolverine so far, what with Hulk knocking him out in their first meeting. The worst thing wolverine could do would be to try and stab him with his claws. This would only make Hulk stronger, the muscle tissue would grow back stronger than it was before and Hulk would be angrier. Hulk is more than capable of tearing wolverine's head off. The only reason this hasn't been done before is because Marvel would not want to kill off one of their most popular super heroes. That would be bad for business but there is no written law that says Wolverine is invulnerable. Sue Storm could have killed him very easily in his own comic. She chose not too. Of the two the Hulk is far closer to being invulnerable than wolverine. Marvel even wrote a comic; "Hulk the end" which showed Hulk to be the last survivor on earth following a nuclear holocaust . Where was wolverine? Ahh! That's right he was dead. The thing is Wolverine's strength and durability are both measurable, they have limits. Hulk's strength and durability are not measurable. The angrier he is the more durable he becomes, the tougher his skin becomes. He is impervious to bullets. Wolverine is not. The Punisher who has no super powers or super strength shot wolverine's face off. In conclusion. Hulk wins.

The Hulk get's stronger the more angry he get's so unless Wolverine was fighting him with a clown mask, telling jokes and making him laugh he wouldn't have a chance. The Hulk has been known to jump out of the earth's atmosphere. If he was holding wolverine at the time and left him in space he'd be finished. Personally I think Wolverine is overrated. Iv'e known fantastic 4's Sue Storm to demolish wolverine without even breaking a sweat in his own comic. Wolverine is deadly against most of his foes because of his resilience and relentlessness. Here's the kicker. Hulk is more resilient and relentless than Wolverine. When you add those factors to his superior strength Hulk wins every time. There's a reason he is an original member of the Avengers (Marvel's mightiest heroes) When Wolverine first tried to battle the Hulk during the fight he chose to team up with the Hulk to defeat Wendigo and when he went back to fighting the Hulk the Hulk knocked him out. I've lost count of all the times they have gone up against each other since the fights usually get interrupted. The first fight was pretty decisive though, what with Wolverine being left unconscious an all.
