one can use the impact of words and pictures as a yardstick to measure the amount of power the have.
picutures can be just as powerful as words depending on their usuage.
one can still remember the riots and anger due to the Danish Cartoons dipicting Islamic Prophet Muhammad as a major cause of terrorism. these cartoons were first published in newpapers on 30th of september 2005 and in later more than 50 other countries. this then caused widespread riots resulting in more than a 100 deaths.
however, we also have seen damaged in the community in the controversy in malaysia over the use of the word " Allah".
