With drop out rates on the rise, the speech given by Obama was intended to motivate students all around the United States to take responsibility of their studies. During his thirty-minuet speech Obama not once touched on bi-pardonship the war in Iraqi or health care, topics that are usually focus points in political motivated speeches. The diction used throughout the speech such as, responsibility and education gives the speech a motivational tone. Obama challenged young people to find what where good in to help further our county, because we are the feature. The speech was just a reinforcement for what we hear daily from our parents and teachers.
