I usually us ethe BoP fallacy personally.
burden of proof
You said that the burden of proof lies not with the person making the claim, but with someone else to disprove.
The burden of proof lies with someone who is making a claim, and is not upon anyone else to disprove. The inability, or disinclination, to disprove a claim does not render that claim valid, nor give it any credence whatsoever. However it is important to note that we can never be certain of anything, and so we must assign value to any claim based on the available evidence, and to dismiss something on the basis that it hasn't been proven beyond all doubt is also fallacious reasoning.
I'm guilty of this.
The conservatives would go like this:
Con-1: "You should pay for your own healthcare to mend your broken leg so you can actually move and go back to work to earn the money to pay off the loan you took out to pay it which gains interest faster than the rate at which you gain money even though that would starve you and your family to a level of famine that would cripple them beyond repair and kill your family off leaving only you and your poor ass alive in the end."
Con-2: "Yeah I really should do that because if I was rich I would be a greedy cunt like you are and make the poor guy suffer for being born into poverty and never getting a fair chance at succeeding in life!"
Lib-1: "Lol"
Lib-2: "xD"
There is nobody called Justin Beiber in the music industry today. Justin Bieber is male. Playing 3 instruments to grade 8 makes someone in the top 1% of the human race musically. Thanks for your kind regards. Try harder to debate next time, retard.
Compassion makes one open to pain from the pain of others. Love is defined as attachment so don't bullshit me with unattached love.
Compassion is the delusion that another's feelings are your own.
Love is the delusion that your care for someone should make you feel happy, If anything, it should make you sad to give up effort for another since they profit from it.
