Are Single Sex Schools More Affective Than Co-Ed Schools?

Should Schools, Mainly High Schools, Be Seperated by Sex?

Yes, They Are

All I could think about during class was the girl sitting in front/behind/side or just generally in the room and getting her knickers off. I wouldn't have that problem in an all male school.

But then again it might've made me gay. Then I would've had to commit suicide.

i see alot are dating in co ed schools but in single gender schools they're more likely to pay attention and study in class rather than staring at someone unless they are lesbian or gay XD

One observes a great deal of such in society outside schools. An environment in which there is only one sex present is not a suitable one in which to prepare developing people for adult life. Whether you like it or not, dating is a part of life and to suggest that it hinders human learning and development is so removed from reality as evokes pity in the hearts of all sane observers. Videlicet, get a life.

I should like to see you produce some evidence to back up this claim. I go to a co-ed school (though it would suit the purposes of the school authorities if we were all transformed into a Borg-like collective) and have never observed what you are describing; an individual swapping attentiveness for dalliance.

rather than staring at someone

What miserable drones and imbeciles do you consort with, as render such nonsense reason in your estimation?

Sex segregation promotes sexism by reinforcing the idea that there is some huge unbridgeable gap between the sexes.

I think in some cases yes, and in some cases no. If you are focusing too much on a specific somebody you have a crush with, then sit in from of him/her. right? I can compare this to separating whites and blacks. I fear that if one is separated from the other, one might feel more superior than the other. I fear that male will fear more superior than women and might believe that they have the right to rape them or disrespect them at their will. Or it can be the other way around. I know this sounds crazy but i believe that anything or thought can be possible. Honestly, i don't know. If grades are better and the understanding of the other sex is perfect then i see nothing wrong in single sex schools.

Are you mentally retarded?

Are you saying that by separating the genders it will cause the males to rape the females? LOL

Are you saying that by separating the genders it will cause the males to disrespect the females??

Have you been living under a rock the past few decades?? Fucking idiot.

Side: Yes, they are

I don't think they make any difference and it is wasting taxpayers' money building separate schools.
