Are UKIP Misunderstood?

Are UKIP misunderstood or actually a racist party

Yes

No

Side Score: 9

The belief that they are racist is just slander from the Left-Wing. Just because the party attracts racists into it doesn't mean it as a whole is racist. It pains me greatly to know that UKIP are going to flop. Even Leanne Wood's party are going to better.

When a party consistently attracts a certain type of group (such as racists), brings individuals from that group into their events (such as Paul Eastwood) their gala dinner at their spring conference), then not only refuses to condemn said behavior but also essentially defend it, then they start cultivating a (not entirely undeserved) reputation. If the UKIP does not want to be considered racist, they need to legitimately take a stand against the racism that exists within their party. So long as they continue refusing to do so, people will continue to think they are racist, particularly when said party's identity is based on a subject that lends itself so well to racist sentiment (note: I am not saying their identity is racist, simply that ultra-nationalist anti-immigration identities lend themselves easily to racism). Now if you agree with some of the racist sentiment (And considering your past racist statements against certain groups of individuals such as Eastern Europeans, I would bet that you do) that is "fine", so long as you own up to it.

UKIP aren't even ultra-nationalist. It it the British National Party that is ultra-nationalist. Being patriotic does not make you ultra-nationalist. Although to someone who probably doesn't even believe in having borders between countries and buys into the basket-weave-your-own clogs idealism of everyone existing in unity like how I suspect you are it almost certainly is.

I stand by what I said about Eastern European people. It is no coincidence that half of convicted pickpockets on the London underground are Romanian. However this isn't racism as I am the same race as them; Caucasian. I have no problem with black people or with Asians (with the exception of Muslims). I do not judge people by race but by nationality (which is xenophobia, not racism) and by religion and political creed.

Only by the usual mischievous brats who like to brand all those who object to the unregulated immigration of the world's criminals and low lives from the failed nations of the world as racists. How the left wing buffoons love to shout, ''welcome aboard H.M.S, United Kingdom'' and may God bless all those who sink with her. U.K.I.P, is not advocating a zero immigration policy but is very wisely demanding that immigration is controlled and open only to those whose trades and professions we need. U.K.I.P, openly and honestly state what millions of disillusioned voters have been thinking after realizing how their treacherous politicians, especially Labour, have betrayed the entire nation and swamped the country with paedophiles, people traffickers, drug smugglers and pimps. These Westminster wonders have permitted immigrants to turn great tracts of our towns and cities into third world, no go areas where the average citizen nor the police can safely venture. U.K.I.P, tells it as it is which doesn't suit the loony left media in general but the B.B.C, in particular.

They want to turn Britain into some backward looking, middle England dystopia. Immigrants have always came to this country and have usually enriched it. Transport for London and the NHS would probably grind to a halt if it wasn't for them as would most sectors of industry that require menial labour.

Their plan to withdraw from Europe would cost cost the British economy, in the worst case scenario, some £224 billion.

Also, with a doubling of over 80s by 2037 and people native to the UK having fewer children, I welcome more people to the country who are willing to pay taxes and contribute.

I really think blaming immigrants for every ill in British society is wrong. If there is an issue in the UK, UK people need to engage in a bit introspection and see if they can modify or change their behaviours as they still make up the vast majority of the population and are probably responsible for the problem in the first place. Blaming immigrants requires no deeper thought and self reflection, it's the easiest course to choose and the one most travelled and the one that UKIP have decided upon to the detriment of us all.

They are a party of idiots that think they can change things by getting elected and then never showing up to parliament. They are jokes.

Piss of Atrag. UKIP don't actually think they'll be elected. Nigel Farage said he doesn't even hope to be Prime Minister. Also what you said has nothing to do with the conception of them being racist.

What? They have been elected to the European parliament. They hope to control what happens to the UK but they give us less input on Europe by not turning up.
