Are you tired of Christians saying that you are going to go to hell?

I am a type of Christian and other Christians have told me that I am not good enough. Christians should just care who is theist and who is not, and if they want to bring an atheist to the theist side, don't yell in their face and tell them they are going to hell.

Side: YES YES YES

Very because in the bible, from my studies, it cleary says don't judge. Saying "you are going to hell" is pretty much judging them. I don't understand why they would say this in the first place. They should say "may god be with you" or "god will help you" or something cheesy like that. That at least shows us that they truly are a christian and not a "judge" against the common person.

I have some good Christians friends that do say that to me when I drink. They actually do say the very phrase, "god is with you in these trying times". I laugh at them but it's usually just the liquor, not a disregard for their beliefs.

Side: YES YES YES

I don't hear it as often because I get out of those situations fast, and although I don't really care when they say it to me due to my lack of belief in hell, I am on this side just to say that it's not justifed.

How can they condemn me to a place they made up, IMO, and that they have no power to send me to no less. God, if he exists, is the only person that can do that.

Side: YES YES YES

Yeah I mean its not a huge problem for me personally but it is anoyying when it happens. If you wanna say "I'll pray for you" or "Jesus loves you" then whatever. I'll still blow you off but at least you're being kind and civilized. Shouting hell threats only ignites conflicts (during and after which theists cry crocodile tears to make them look like the victim) and makes them look just plain stupid.

As a Christian I apologize for the condemnation we have heaped out and the love we have withdrawn.

Side: YES YES YES

Yes. I find it rather annoying and disrespectful when some of them tell us to go to hell if we dont believe the same as they do. I respect them, so I expect the same amount of respect in return. However they arent the only ones to blame. Many atheists constantly bash there religion. So I guess its only fair. Either way I guess I dont care as much as "YES YES YES" implies. A simple yes sums it just fine.

Why do you care? As long as they are not crazy stalkers, who gives a what they say. Yeah I believe that Jesus is the only way to be saved, but you know what? I prefer not be a bastard about it.

For all honesty, don't we all say such phrase. Although majority of my friends are Christians, even my non-religous and Muslim friends say "go to hell." Usually, I use the comment to express my anger upon someone. Although, I feel like this question to targeting agnostics or atheists. If so (and although I am not agnostic or atheist) then I would simply ignore it. Yet, I am not in the position to say anything from such side.

Side: Not really

I absolutely see what your saying but the thing is that christians aren't supposed to say such things because the bible tells them not to judge one another. Thats why I don't underatand why some christians continue to say such a thing but I agree with you. We all say it.

A point I forgot to mention and is totally hypocritical of Christians. Thank you for pointing that out. Yet, this is just one thing that Christians do yet the bible clearly states not to judge others. I say a whole list but, I don't got time for that ;)

For me personally it's less a bother more of an ironic statement. Christan's don't compare themselves to God, that's blasphemy, but to say that I'm going there is saying that you they have the power or the omnipotence to know I'm destined for that path.

Well according to Christian teachings whosoever Denise god shall be banished from his kingdom so yeah acording to the Christian faith you are. Now I'm a Christian and I'm not saying anything but I just hope that explains it.

It is because they are judging us, that is what bothers us.

Side: YES YES YES

OMG, I think the creator of this debate is going to hell ;)

Side: Not really

I have a few Christian friends and even then they are more open-minded than some christians. I don't often get told I'm going to hell so I can't say I'm sick of it exactly. However people tend to believe what they want to believe, not out of reason at least seemingly to me, so when a theist tells me I am going to hell... And not just as an expression but genuinely means it, I see it as a judgement, you are judging me on the premise that something I am doing is so bad I deserve to be in infinite pain for an infinite amount of time. It's a judgement, its a form of prejudice, nobody likes prejudice.
