I don't understand how ranting, profanity laced, racists, name calling statements do anything to further an argument. You're absolutely right, but what you aren't taking into account is that very few people come here to have a legitimate and fair argument. Take FM and Bronto as two shining examples. FM comes here to try to annoy people because that's what gets him off at night. Bronto comes here to lie his sweet tits off and proliferate Nazi propaganda. You can't have a legitimate argument with someone who is deliberately distorting the things you say, deflecting the point, lying, calling you names, purposefully misrepresenting the facts, falsely accusing you of rape or threatening to kill you. Profanity or silence are your only two real options. Side: Yep, I be nice.

I am talking to those types of people. I still engage in conversation with them, however I do not call names, I do not attack, I don't say thing like "sweet tits". I do not make broad stroke statements. The quality of the debates here can be good, when you filter out the noise. I can only control my actions and reactions., If I let someone else trigger a response, they are now controlling my reactions. I will not give people that control. Side: Yep, I be nice.

I do not make broad stroke statements Sweet tits is just an expression I used to emphasise the fact that Bronto is a habitual liar. You can't have a reasoned argument with a liar. It's impossible. Nor can you have a reasoned argument with someone who is unprepared to concede when they are wrong. How many people here do you honestly expect are capable of admitting when they are wrong about something? Because I personally have only ever seen one person do it here and that's me. The quality of the debates here can be good, when you filter out the noise. But that's the point mate. You've got to scroll through twenty debates about Nom's fetish for Asian boys, how Democrats are the Devil, and adverts for whores in Mumbai, before you ever reach a sensible debate.
