Christians could be a little confused as to which deity they worship?

I have heard god described as the universe, a man, a malevolent fascist deity, love itself...?

Possibly they are referring to different deities~?

The 'universe' god~ 1st order primal force, similar to the kami

A man~ a buddha, demon, or a random guy. Take your pick

A malevolent deity~ a demon god

Love~ a kami of love... ew that sounds sugary.

I don't think they are confused as much as they can't decide what they want their god to be like.

I agree. Stripped down to its basic elements and principals. Christians neither follow the teachings of Christ nor do they refuse to be saved from sin. i mean if the guy saved everyone from their sins. why do we believr they still exist and listen to a pope dictate what is sin? yet he (jesus)is nothing more then an idol. Similar to the bronze bull in the story of Moses. Jews, Islamic and Christians are all supposed to follow the same god yet, they warship different idols of man. At least to second two.

A big problem is that Christians when arguing that their god is the ideal one (on issues such as gay marriage, celibacy, baptism, universal salvation, etc)

Resort to the True Scotsman fallacy that they are not a chrisian if they believe in one specific god.(or Ariana)
