He is by far the best player of his time, whether you like his decisions or not. I think he will be at least a legend, if not GOAT.

Really, how would a player be considered GOAT by joining a team with his friends by abandoning his former team?

Do you realize how badly the Cavaliers were when Lebron was there? He was able to get to the finals with practically no one.

He earned his right to be a free agent, he spent a large portion of his career in Cleveland. Who cares if he's playing with his friends? He is still the leader of the team and the one that pushed them to two championships. I'm tired of people belittling his accomplishments just because he plays on a good team.

He'll definitely be in the talks as best of all time, even if he were to win no more championships. I don't believe he'll be considered THE BEST, that's a tough one to say anyhow.

But to answer your question, there is no doubt he'll be remembered years from now, he's the now, he's the best in the NBA right now, with Kobe, Durant, Wade, Anthony, and a few others close behind.

In my opinion Kobe Bryant is still one of the best in the league and will go down as one of the best in the NBA, not because he's got 5 rings, but because he's been just that good over the years.

Lebron is the now and upcoming guy.

Side: Legend

Although Lebron James may have 4 or more NBA Finals Championships with the Miami Heat in the end, the biggest mistake was quitting the Cleveland Cavaliers because this is not a mark of a legend but a conformist looking for the easy way out.

Did Charles Barkley, Karl Malone, John Stockton, or Patrick Ewing join the Chicago Bulls or Houston Rockets just to win a NBA Championship? No.

Karl Malone joined the Lakers to win a championship, he just wasn't able to.

Oh that is right, I forgot. Although he did join the Lakers, he was out of his prime and just a bench warmer. He did sell out.

Wrong, Barkley joined the Rockets in an attempt to win a championship as did Malone in Los Angeles.

Wrong, this was not a deliberate attempt because he was traded, which is different than being free agent. Free agents choose where they want to go, trading has restrictions. If winning a title like James, he would have gone to the Bulls joining with his buddy Jordan.

looking for an easy way out?? Don't make me laugh. Lebron spent years there growing and building that franchise. If he left after like 2 or 3 years then maybe 'he was looking for an easy way out' but not after 7 years. No individual superstar has ever won a championship by themselves, the best team wins not the star. Yes basketball is the one team sport where one person can make a great impact but, it is still a team sport.

To be perfectly honest I could care less of how Lebron will be remembered. He will not be remembered to me and regardless if he won champions or not he still sucks ether way.

Side: Quitter

True, he is just a major tool with no dignity.--------------------------------

No dignity??? okay i have to admit that 'the decision' was a bad choice but so has he. Planning to team up with dwyane and chris years before the free agency was a bad move or atleast revealing that they talked about this years ago is a bad move. But to go as far as to say that he has no dignity is wrong. Micheal jordan had a player of the caliber of dwyane wade in pippen. Kobe had the player of the caliber of lebron in shaq. The boston celtics had their own big three before miami. There has never been a player that took his team to win a championship by himself never. Lebron was close with the cavs, dwlight was close with the magic and allen iverson was close with philly but teams win championships not one player.

Its true that his athletic ability is predominantly the reason why he is successful in the NBA. However, you cant say that he sucks. He dominates the floor on every aspect. People say he is not clutch but, that nba finals showed us that he can be clutch and wants to embrace it.

He is more like a ball hogger then a team player. Its basically watching 1v1 basketball game with him and his teammates
