Is Obama following in Reagan's footsteps?

yes

Obama is following a bit. He seems to be giving the banks more power, and involving America in many proxy wars.

Obama is going the opposite direction. Reagan was very conservative and believed in a stronger military. Not Obama.

Reagan did seem to invest more in the military, yes, but Obama is still a big military and generally big government president.

Where Obama differs from Reagan is that Reagan cut social spending and basically kept the spending increases at bay (although not as deal as Libertarians would prefer, but when does that EVER happen?)

Yeah, I can agree with that. Reagan was as close a Libertarian as he could get probably.

Side: no

Of course not! Ronald Reagan was a great president; Obama, not so much. Reagan was republican, Obama is Democrat...so different.

No, if anything he is heading in the opposite direction. Reagan was known for leading the conservative movement in the 1980's. Obama will be remember as the leader of the liberal movement. Both will always be remember as great leaders from their respective parties.
