Never heard of it.... and to be honest, it sounds like a dump.

Came out monday. So it's normal you haven't heard of it. Check it out. It's actually quite cool.

so it came out on Monday and shut down on Wednesday? Quality site right there.

The social media era gives a very powerful voice to the crowds, yet it somewhat lacks structure and unity. Quibl.com proposes a very powerful and innovative debate platform that will:

Always present both sides of each issue

Aggregate the best content available on the web, for each side, by allowing users to vote

Allow people to create the debate and share their opinion

Allow people to forge their own opinion

Provide advanced filters to favor the most active content and the most active debates

Allow users to create debates on any controversial topic they want to talk about

Allow users to support their cause with their network

Provide a rich commenting system behind every single argument, thus allowing you to hear the best counter-opinions

* Allow you to find issues in your area

Well, I think Quibl provides a better split between sides and the fact of having a comments section below each argument is pretty neat.

The filter system is easier on Quibl. IMHO.

Try the map. That's pure awesomeness!

That being said. I think createdebate is pretty cool too. Competition is healthy!

You forgot to add limits freedom of speech greatly.

Looks like he already banned Prodigee.... not even I want Prodigee banned from here.

Trying hard to figure out what words can be missing in that sentence. We're just a couple of friends that made a humble debating site. Limit rates are planned but were not judged critical for the launch.

1 point

No.

Quibl doesn't have a joe_cavalry..., so...., No. ;)

1 point

I lol'ed. 25000 points seems to be a lot. Indeed, Quibl needs a Joe Cavalry!

Shame you will never get one oh wait what am i saying? it won't be a shame at all.

1 point

Not at all although it's fun to troll.

C'mon, everyone knows that Particibate is the best debate site.

1 point

There. I also create the same debate on Quibl.com

Ewww, hell nah! I couldn't even find the button to post my argument. I'm good here, createdebate has a much simpler interface that satisfies my personal needs. Quibl cannot match what quality this site has to offer.

Grandmax(20) Disputed

That's laziness. It's the super large NEW ARGUMENT button. Above each column of arguments.

Sinknight(518) Disputed

Nah, I just couldn't notice it because of its dull look. I like the argument button on this site; its much more appealing. Nevertheless, the site looks like a red light-green light game.

1 point

Doesn't look really that good in my opinion but I rule this site the best debating site and it should be.

1 point

No, though it does look like a really nice polling site!

1 point

Thanks. Not really poll because you can't just take a side like that. You need to support specific arguments. Votes on argument make you win the debate.

The navigation is not at all intuitive and the display is inefficient.

What do you mean? Please elaborate. Feedback is very welcomed.

Honestly, there is not anything specific. I visited the site, I tried to navigate it and it was cumbersome. CB was easier for me to learn how to engage with. Quite possible that I am also just used to the format CB provides.

1 point

No seeing as it doesn't exist anymore.

1 point

I just tried it, maybe because there are polls but EVERYTHING else is worse.

comment system is a pain to navigate.

Thanks for the feedback. Any way to improve it? What specifically didn't you like?

1 point

The way the post on both sides ressembles the way subreddits work. Dynamic filters make debate show new content in a very interesting way. This allows debate to stay alive. For example, Atheist vs Theist will stay alive forever.

We have done a major update to quibl.com.

I think it is better than ever. Go check it out. http://www.quibl.com/

The debate is whether quibl is the best debate site. I am merely providing arguments.

Cuaroc(8829) Disputed

I dream that one day, countries will have hundreds of issues exposed on this site, where the sharing function will help local communities to rally on a common cause and put pressure on politician, where argument weight will clearly show which sides has the most compelling arguments, where the debate page will paint a clear portrait of the best arguments for both sides, where the comment sections will show instantly what are the best counter-opinions. I dream one day it can become a reference to get an opinion on a topic and a driving force for instant democracy.

well keep dreaming because that won't happen until there is freedom of speech on that site.

Grandmax(20) Disputed
1 point

Why do you say there isn't? Of course people can say what they want. We have standard forum rules however.

Cuaroc(8829) Disputed

We have no downvotes

That's a shame then we can't hide arguments like the one i'm disputing effectively.

Disputing effectively, I feel I am playing chess with a pigeon. I could be the greatest player in the world, but the pigeon will still knock over all the pieces, sh!t on the board and strut around triumphantly
