Paganism Logic

The Pagan path helps a logical person feel comfortable not being an atheist.  Semetic religion (the big 3) leaves a logical mind resorting to atheism.  I'm telling you, if you want to believe in afterlife, etc, and you want to also except science - it's your only choice.  There's polarity of forces - no God and devil.

It isn't the religion, it is the believers of the religion. Since many people are illogical a large quantity of religious people will make illogical arguments. But those aren't the only arguments.

So, it isn't your only choice. All you have to do is be smart enough to accept science, then you can believe whatever religion you want. you can believe that God is responsible for everything that exists and that religious texts are supposed to teach us how to act.

Unless I am mistaken, your synopsis implies that:

1) Semetic religions are irreconcilable with logical thinking and those who subscribe to them do not value science.

2) Paganism is science’s natural bedfellow.

3) Paganism does not incorporate the supernatural.

Please elaborate on why this is your position.

I believe we live and we die. No "after life", no "god" no "devil". We should enjoy our life while we have it, don't do anything to ruin the lives of others. I'm not afraid of my "dirt nap", we all take one. "Here is heaven right here on Earth", as the song goes. Enjoy.

Don't you mean to say that Paganism helps a logical person feel comfortable BEING an atheist? And NOT being a Theist?

This is the case for me. I am a self-admitted Pagan. And worship no gods. I am an Epicurean, I guess. (If I HAD to worship any god I reckon it would be Bacchus!)

And though I do not need Paganism to help me feel comfortable about being an Atheist--since I am quite confident that there is no god and that Jesus was a mere mortal and that most Theists are deluded.

But still, I do embrace Paganistic leanings.

Especially when I tell this to Christians and it pisses them off. LOL

You can't be pagan and atheist. Pagans believe in afterlife. Atheist don't believe in a creator. Pagans do. But there is just no timeline and no image of God. Soooo, evolution is part of it all.
