Should we have stricter vehicle licensing laws?
Is it to easy to get a license? Should we have mandatory re-testing? Should there be a max age on a drivers license?

As far as driver licenses go, there should be more training. I drive a semi-truck and have people do really dangerous things, like pull out in front of me. In order to get a drivers license to operate a car, one should have a little bit of education about semi-trucks. This would help reduce accidents and might even lead to consideration for other drivers. Semi trucks have large blind spots that one should stay out of, require a great distance to stop and make wide turns. Truckers aren't on the road for a joy ride, they are at work. Yes, I'm aware there are bad truck drivers as well. Side: yes
I think better education is needed - not just about semi trucks but about everything driving related. - I see people merging too early. Ie Merging into the middle lane instead of the right lane. - People slowing down on the highway instead of on the exit ramp. - People who don't know how to react at a 4 way stop or when the traffic lights go out. - Changing lanes without using a blinker - Driving in the middle and left lanes when not overtaking another vehicle. This one happens so much that I wonder if people even know there is a law against it. For some reason I think that stricter licensing laws would help with these problems. If we had mandatory re-testing it would be fresh in people's minds and hopefully we could change the behavior that way Side: yes
