The age of consent should be raised/lowered
The age of consent is legally set at 16 in both Canada and Australia and from 16 - 18 in various states of the U.S.
Is this right? Should the age of consent raised (e.g. to 21) or lowered (e.g. 14 or younger)? Some U.S. states allow for legal marriages to occur as young as 13 years (e.g. New York and Hawaii), so would it be reasonable to reduce the legal age of consent to coincide with the marriagable ages in these states?

Well what the hell does that have to do with it? My dad first caught me at 14 (almost 15). I told him I was searching girls in bikinis (I had slammed my laptop shut) and begged him not to look. He bought my lie and walked away not ever finding out that it was actually a bukkake vid. He is very Hindu so he didn't appreciate that too much. Side: Raised

Age of consent should be lowered to the age that school start teaching kids about sex. In my days of elementary I was taught about sex around grade 5. My belief is if you believe kids can grasp the right concepts about sex in the classroom at an early age they may as well be given the right to choose at that age because obviously, being taught what sex is and how it's done isn't too much information for a young mind. It's old enough to grasp the concepts. Side: Lowered

Lowered, to the onset of puberty with no restrictions. Access to free healthcare, condoms, and non biased education should also be available to everyone. Laws should be against spreading disease instead, and penalties should include financial compensation to the victims. Side: Lowered
