What does the concept of being sorry mean to you?
What does the concept of being sorry mean to you?
Do you think there is such a thing as being really sorry? AND NEVER making the same mistake ever again? Or do you think it is ok to be sorry and get punished for it therefore feeling "free" to commit the same blunder again?

To me sorry means "I wish I hadn't done it" and not "I feel bad that this hurt you, but If I had the chance to I would do it again, and hopefully not get caught this time". If someone keeps saying sorry about the same thing over and over again chances are they mean the latter and thus aren't really sorry at all. Side: yes i feel sorry

I made a mistake. I hope to not make it again, either way I'll do what's 'right' because I feel sorry - I'll make amends... "When you realize you've made a mistake, make amends immediately. It's easier to eat crow while it's still warm." ~Dan Heistand Whether I'm forgiven or not... totally different deal. I did my part by offering up the apology (of course, I hope to be forgiven)! I think the concept of being sorry means that they feel bad for what they have done and they want to apologize for what they did to the person or what they said to the person. I know if I call someone a name I feel sorry that I said that to someone. So I go back to that person and ask for an apology and they accept it. Side: yes i feel sorry

I agree with your statement. I see a lot of needless arguments online because people do not stop and think about HOW what they are about to say is going to sound and I also see a lot of people (including myself) taking comments the wrong way. sorry song
