What's with all the spam and shit?
So I've been here a little over three weeks. I was lured in by a debate about pedophilia and HAD to weigh in my two cents.
When I first started posting here, it was full of juicy debates about politics, religion, and life. Now it's mostly spam. So my question, again, is:
**What's with all the spam and shit?**
Is it that stupid wiccan goth girls fault? I mean I answered a question about Pokemon for christ's sake! WTF?
And how do we stop it?

I'm not sure if there is a way to stop it. The only way I can think of is if the administrators begin playing an active role in moderating the quality of debates. When I first came to this website, the concept was really intriguing, as I love debating and can't usually find an outlet for this hobby. Maybe I am just paying closer attention, or maybe the quality of debates really has gotten worse, but I know what you're talking about. I understand that the administrators are most likely busy with their lives, but the least they could do would be to create some sort of moderation system to keep the worthless drivel out and the thought provoking debate in. I also think one of the problems is the current point system favors creation of useless spam debates like certain individuals I will not name, while other people spend time and energy formulating strong and concise arguments only to be downvoted to hell for no discernible reason. If the administrators want to keep this website from turning into myspace, they need to make a lot of changes. 1

There is a "report" link next to every argument, debate and ally/enemy request. Use it to report spam! We actively monitor the spam reports and take action as quickly as possible! If lame arguments go unreported, we usually leave them. As soon as they get reported, we zap them! Side: Use the report function

I'm actually curious as to what you(the admins) define as spam or lame debates. Should we report debates like, just to name a few off the front page, "Food or video games," "Going to the movies or watching tv," and "McDonalds or KFC?" Or should we only report things that are trolling or not even debates at all? I will try to be more liberal with reporting lame/spam debates, I didn't know that the reports were actually taken seriously because on many websites things like that are not. It all starts with us Pineapple...if we're not putting up solid debates then it follows that if some numbskull sees them, they assume they can do the same. Report the lame assed debate or the argument and don't reply to them. That should or could stop some of it. Side: Dont participate and report them
