1. Communism and Democracy are not independent of each other as communism is an economic system, where democracy is a political system i.e you can have democratic communism
2. It doesn't really matter what system is "best", just which one produces the strongest military and economy.
3. To answer the question, I would have to say China. The U.S is currently on the decline and trillions of dollars in debt. Most of this debt is, you guessed it, owed to China. China has the largest population is the world and the consumerist lifestyle of the west is completely Dependant on the vast array of goods created there.
The only way to stop this, I believe, is to boycott China which, living in this wasteful consumerist society, I know will never happen
