Time is a mental construct created by humans to help us comprehend reality and to understand it better. It doesn't actually exist. What you actually experience is one present moment after another. One moment dies forever and the other takes it's place, that's it.
A person sbould take care of him or her self first. Let me put it this way.
A person with two broken legs will not be able to help someone who has two broken legs as well. Even if you have only one leg broken or a sprained ankle, you are still not strong enough to lift another person up who has both legs broken. When both of your legs are healthy and strong, than you help others.
