I agree with you because Johnny was doing it for self defense and also save his best friend's life.
Johnny is justified because in real life, if you were to be almost drowning and maybe even dying, it's okay to defend yourself. It is not the best option to murder someone but if you need to and the person is trying to kill you, I think it's justified. If Johnny were my friend I would be thankful because he saved my life even though he got into trouble. But would you rather die drowning or be safe but in some trouble. It's not okay to kill someone. There is a consequence to wrong actions. But Johnny killed because it was necessary to save his friend. Johnny saved a life while taking away one. It was the bad guy v.s his best friend. He is obviously going to save his best friend. All in all, I think it is justified for Johnny to kill the enemy because he was saving his best friend.
