I think nowadays kids are becoming more tech-savvy, I am sure that their social networking profiles are set to friends only and they will only add people who they have met before.

The power of social networking can also allow you to use videocam to communicate with friends locally and even everywhere in the world. Technology has advanced so much such that you would feel that the person is there with you. It also reduces the effort the person make to travel to a certain place just to meet together, it will save a whole lot of time.

Why do you need to travel around the world? With advances in today's technology, you can use a webcam or a 3G phone to see and talk to people overseas. If you subscribe to a line, it could as well be free. It is almost the same as meeting them in person, but saving lots of money at the same time.

Unlike real life, people will remember every hurtful stuff you said to them. But if you post on social networking sites, there is a chance that it may be erased even if it doesn't, people won't know the url as all links on that social networking site will be removed, and don't tell me that you don't erase your history to save space.

Facebook friendships are easier to manage than real life friendships, because you can have ongoing discussions with a Facebook friend about almost any subject. Although your facial expressions can't be seen, you can get your point across better, as long as you think through your comments and be sure to make your point clearly.

Maintaining live friendships takes far more effort than managing Facebook ones. That is because finding the time to make a long call or have lunch with a friend can be hard, but finding a minute to "like" a comment or type a quick "hello" on Facebook is excessively easy.
